FHF 5842/1 Twin-EExII Telephone Alarm & Signal Unit is an extremely dependable, explosion-proof alarm and communications system for harsh industrial applications. It is made by Funke+Huster Fernsig GmbH and uses both sound and light signals, making it capable of delivering crucial alarms in the most challenging of locations.
The telephone alarm and signal unit can be installed in hazardous Zone 1 and Zone 2 environments. The unit can serve two different purposes simultaneously; it can be used either as an auxiliary telephone alarm system or as a stand-alone signaling unit. Due to its IP66 protection and ATEX and IECEx certifications, it performs well in difficult industrial applications.

1. Usage as Both Alarm and Signal Unit: It can be employed either as alarm device for incoming calls or as independent signal unit which functions at line voltage.
2. Explosion Proof Version (ATEX & IECEx Compliant): Suitable for usage in places where there may exist explosion due to gases present in the environment.
3. Alerting System (Audible & Visual): Features in-built high-quality loud speaker which creates an audio alert of 90 dB along with in-built strobe lighting.
4. Very High IP Rating (IP66): Offers complete protection against ingress of dust and also protects against strong jet streams of water, thereby suitable for outdoor use.
5. Voltage Levels (60V/230V AC/DC): Can operate on either 60V AC/DC voltage of phone line and 230V AC voltage for signaling.
6. Multi-tone Signals: Generates multi-tone signals such as Single, Double, Triple.
7. Rugged Durable Construction (Aluminum & Polycarbonate): Molded from aluminum casting casing with polycarbonate dome, which withstands seawater conditions.
